The 1798 Inks Collection marks the start of Jacques Herbin’s ink production, a key milestone for the company founded in 1670. After the French Revolution ended in 1798, Herbin expanded in Paris with a new ink line.
Featuring richly colored, vegan inks with silver metallic particles, the collection includes Cornaline d’Egypte, a vibrant orange ink with shimmering silver reflections inspired by the carnelian stone, known as a stone of courage and life.
Each bottle cap is hand-dipped in sealing wax, with an embossed “1798” seal and packaged in a collector’s edition box.
Due to shimmer particles, ink flow may be limited in some pens. Shake well before use, roll the pen frequently, and clean your pen after use to prevent clogging.
