Lamy LX (“Luxe”)  is based on the Lamy Al Star and its features an all aluminium double-anodized cap and barrel, matching trim color. The smoky-clear triangular shape grip section of the Lamy LX is a benchmark for all fountain pen users regardless of their experience. Enhancing the LX series, the satin barrel is displaying a shiny LAMY logo and the black color nibs are laser engraved.Â
Lamy LX comes equipped with easy interchangeable steel nibs. You can pick in between the following nib sizes : Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad.

Lamy LX comes with a blue ink cartridge and a matching color anodized aluminium pen case. You can use the fountain pen also with bottled ink by purchasing separately the Lamy Z28/Z27 Converter. To ensure the best quality and performance Lamy tests their writing instruments as a final step of the manufacturing process – if you see any residual ink, this is normal and it is an outcome of the testing process.
