Montegrappa – Avanguardia Series – Nicolaus Copernicus | LTD |
”To know that we know what we know, and to know that we do not know what we do not know. That is true knowledge.” – Nicolaus Copernicus
Part of Montegrappa’s tribute to revolutionary thinkers – Avanguardia Series, the first fountain pen is dedicated to the great Renaissance astronomer born in 1473 – Nicolaus Copernicus, who placed the sun at the center of everything, a silent, tactile reminder to remain constantly curious about the world around us.
Issued 550 years after his birth, the limited edition fountain pen is available in 550 pieces, with 55 fountain pens in a Reserve Edition coming with a companion timepiece in the box. A beautiful writing instrument that displays the placement of planets on our solar system and on top of the cap we have a skeleton globe with a gold core spinning on all axes.
The 8 individually planets orbit around the central solar body in vermeil, illustrating Copernicus heliocentric theory. Signature, handmade castings reproduce the instruments found on the Copernicus Monument in Warsaw.
