Montegrappa – Brenta
Inspired by history and Montegrappa’s majestic riverside setting, Brenta represents vintage class, when fountain pens from the past are recreated for the writers today.
Visitors of Montegrappa’s manufactory in Bassano del Grappa know that Brents is the name of the river that flows beneath the landmark Ponte Vecchio bridge, in the past, their historic headquarters. The river that connects Trento, Bassano, Padua, and venice to the Adriatic sea has a history intertwined with Venetian trade and aristocracy, and it’s elegant flow is evoked in the seductive soft facets of the new Vintage Class silhouette.
Inspired by a rare 1930s Extra model housed in their Museum, Brenta’s most distinctive feature is its all-over wave-formation relief – an effect that demonstrates the high technical sophistication of their pre-war factory. Indeed, this glistening briolette shaping would be barely possible today without the aid of advanced CNC machining.
Brenta is carved from resin and uses thinline stainless steel – most visibly on a cigar-style, triple-bar cap-band, and it features a Montegrappa classical contour clip with ruzzolino clamp. Equipped with steel nibs – Brenta is available with the following nib sizes : Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, Stub 1.1mm, Stub 1.5mm.
