The Visconti Medici collection pays tribute to the influential Medici rulers of Florence, renowned patrons of the arts during the Renaissance. This 2023 collection of luxury pens embodies the artistic excellence and elegance associated with the Medici family, drawing inspiration from Visconti’s historical heritage.
Incorporating the skeletonization technique, the new demonstrator central ring showcases the official emblem of Florence, the lily, symbolizing beauty, nobility, and pride. This emblem, featured on the city’s coat of arms, holds historical significance in Florentine culture and has been depicted by renowned artists like Sandro Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, and Michelangelo Buonarroti.
The pen’s design, inspired by the geometry of the Florence Baptistry, follows the principles of the golden ratio. The enhancements to this historical collection include a capacious Power Filler double reservoir in the loading system and a replacement of the previously laser-engraved clip with a new enameled version.
Crafted from Acrosilk, an innovative material introduced by Visconti, the pen combines acrylic resin and silk fibers for a contemporary look. The material is sandblasted to achieve a fine satin finish. Available in two elegant versions, both pens feature briarwood-colored resin, with the option of metallic trims in either ruthenium or yellow gold plating. This collection reflects Visconti’s commitment to preserving heritage while incorporating modern features for a truly exceptional writing experience.
